About Our New Orleans Dental Office

More than three decades of shaping smiles & changing lives.

In 2016, the practice became the only mother-daughter dental team in the Greater New Orleans Area with the addition of Dr. Gabrielle Richard.

Dr. Gizelle Richard opened her doors in 1986. The practice was originally located in the former Village Aurora Mall, but in 2000, she built what is now the current office on General DeGaulle Drive in Algiers.

Fast forward to 2018, when Dental Arts of New Orleans welcomed Dr. Brent Benoit to the practice. Dr. Benoit is a board certified orthodontist who is trained in both traditional braces and Invisalign for adults and children.

Our mission is to provide the highest quality dental and orthodontic care available and to transform the lives of our patients in profound ways. We offer meticulous, uncompromising, state of the art dental and orthodontic care with a commitment to honoring every person we have the privilege to treat.

We are a full-service general dentistry and orthodontic practice for the entire family. Our philosophy of care is focused on providing comprehensive and patient-centered dentistry in a quiet, stress-free environment. What sets us apart from other offices is that we are fee-for-service and private insurance driven, allowing us to offer superior oral health care on our own terms, the way dentistry was intended to be provided.

Dental and Orthodontic Services Provided by Dental Arts of New Orleans

Dental Arts of New Orleans is family-owned and operated, with over three decades of industry experience. With an emphasis on full-mouth dentistry, our mission is to improve the oral health of our New Orleans patients through preventative and restorative treatments.

Cosmetic dental procedures effectively treat a wide range of issues to improve the appearance and structural integrity of the teeth and mouth. From missing teeth to color correction and beyond, Dental Arts of New Orleans offers a full array of cosmetic dentistry treatments for our patients in Belle Chasse, LA, and the surrounding areas, including:

  • Teeth Whitening
  • Dental Bonding and Veneers
  • Dental Inlays
  • Dental Crowns
  • Dental Implants
  • Clear Orthodontic Aligners

The dental and orthodontic team at Dental Arts of New Orleans provides outstanding dental care to patients of all ages in the Belle Chasse area. Whether you are a child, tween, teen, or adult, regular dental visits are the cornerstone of a healthy mouth.

Many treatments fall under the umbrella of family dentistry. The most common procedures for patients seeking a family dentist near Belle Chasse, LA, include:

  • Professional tooth cleaning: Regular at-home dental care is not always sufficient in preventing the buildup of dental plaque between the teeth and underneath crowns and fillings. During a professional tooth cleaning, a licensed dental hygienist uses specialized equipment to remove plaque deposits, followed by scaling and polishing the teeth to ensure that your teeth and gums remain healthy.
  • Tooth-colored fillings: When cavities occur because of tooth decay, the team at Dental Arts of New Orleans uses a tooth-colored resin-composite filling to fill the cavity and restore the integrity of the damaged tooth.
  • Dental crowns: Dental crowns provide both restorative and aesthetic benefits to patients with frail or damaged teeth.
  • Dental inlays: Dental inlays are thin, porcelain shells that our dentist places over a tooth to improve its color, size, shape, or position while protecting it from damage and staining.

Orthodontic treatments offer numerous benefits to Belle Chasse patients. The most obvious benefit is the improved appearance of the teeth and smile. Orthodontics also improve mouth function by correcting misaligned teeth, making it easier to chew, bite, and speak clearly.

Crooked teeth are more challenging to keep clean, so orthodontics also plays a key role in promoting good oral hygiene for some patients.

Orthodontic treatment by Dental Arts of New Orleans helps address all these issues and improve the lives of our patients by helping them to feel good about their teeth.

The benefits of undergoing orthodontic treatment at Dental Arts of New Orleans include:

  • A beautiful smile
  • Straight teeth
  • Enhanced oral health due to easier brushing and flossing
  • Improved bite
  • Better speech
  • Less grinding
